REPORTING FUNCTION

 

2.1               The Assistant Marketing Officer (Sales) reports directly to the station head of respective Data Node.

 

3.0       BASIC FUNCTION

 

3.1              To assist in developing and implementing marketing programs, plans and strategies to increase the sale volume of IP bandwidth and other available value added services within and outside Software Technology Parks.

3.2              To interact with the IT industry and ensure that PSEB initiatives related to IT/Telecom infrastructure and programs are brought to their knowledge.

3.3              To independently plan and market the bandwidth and other value added services to the IT and ITeS companies.

3.4              To bring the concerns and issues of clients on bandwidth services to the attention of station head or Director Technical, PSEB and formulate effective solutions.

 

4.0      RESPONSIBILITIES

 

4.1              Develop a close liaison with the marketing teams of upstream providers and other ISPs to gather information about bandwidth market trends, customers’ requirements, prevailing bandwidth tariffs, future products and then devise a strategy to sell the services in the concerned areas.

4.2              Conduct periodic customer survey in the relevant domain to remain updated about the customer satisfaction level and share the same with Manager Networks to address the issues and keep service level up to the customer satisfaction level or exceed.

4.3              Financial analysis of bandwidth usage for the concerned data nodes and preparation and execution of business strategies to make the data network nodes more viable.

4.4              Meet with subscribers to discuss their requirements and address accordingly.

3.5              Submission of weekly Progress Reports to station head.

3.6              Plan independently and execute the same to achieve assigned financial KPIs.

4.5              Other tasks/duties/responsibilities assigned by station head / Director Technical.

 

5.0       QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

5.1       BBA/MBA having min 16 years’ education with specialization in marketing from a reputable and HEC recognized university with following experience

  1. At least 2 years-experience of internet bandwidth sales with a fast-growing Pakistan based Internet Service Provider (ISP).
  2. Direct cliental interaction with Call Centers & IT companies in major cities like Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad/Rawalpindi.
  3. Deep knowledge of the marketing tactics being used with corporate customers to increase the CIR internet bandwidth sales.

5.2       Possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills needed to interact with senior levels of management.

5.3       Ability to work under pressure and to resolve problems in an efficient manner.
